Hi. It’s me, Oscar.
You would not believe what she has done to me. What am I supposed to say, “O.M.G!”
No, Grammy did not shave off all my fur because it’s falling out from this stupid medicine I need to breathe. I told you how Auntie Kat bought me a nice Red Sox Hoodie.
I saw Uncle Matt trying to sneak that picture.
I told you before how that medicine, Prednisone, makes me wicked thirsty so I drink a lot and then have to go out a lot. Well …… I was having some accidents in the house, especially when Grammy was working, so……. SHE PUT ME IN A DIAPER!
I can’t believe it! And NO! There will be no pictures!
She went on her phone and found these stupid things on that Amazon. (Is there anything that place doesn’t have?) I don’t have to wear it every night but if she’s at work, it goes on. I guess it works because Grammy seems happy again.
You humans don’t know what it’s like to get old. You just don’t!
I have demanded that there be no pictures, not even for Grampy who’s not home. I figure that once one picture gets taken it will be all over the internet. I know how this stuff works: you start out with a picture for Grampy and the next thing you know, TMZ is outside your door.
Baxter has been pretty good about it. He says he won’t tell the neighborhood dogs as long as I do his chores. Seems like a good deal to me.
So Grammy’s happy; Auntie Kat just shakes her head; Grampy says “Sorry buddy” when he calls; and I think I saw Uncle Matt laugh and not even try to hide it. It’s not easy being me.
Answering a comment here: Peg asked – “……have you finally made friends with the Roomba ??? :>)”
Peg, let’s just say we keep an eye on each other. I’ve come to realize that she’s going to be here awhile and at least she makes enough noise so I can hear her coming. And yes I said “she.” Grammy named her “Alice.” She says she always wanted an “Alice.”
