Raising Grampy- Chapter 13

Hi everyone! It’s me, Liam, just hanging out with Grampy.

I hope you had a nice Easter. We did. I don’t why my mommy put all this stuff around me. That’s my bunny Fred. He has a mask on. I don’t know why.

Grammy and Grampy gave me Fred. I guess Grampy went shopping right after I was born. I’m glad he chose the bunny.

Mommy was telling me about the Easter Bunny last week and I started to wonder: “Could Fred be the Easter Bunny?” Then I had a few more questions: “Don’t eggs come from chickens? Does the Easter Bunny have the key to everyone’s house? That’s a lot of keys. Does he even have pockets? Does he wear pants?” I’m still trying to figure out this Easter stuff.

Grampy said he’ll explain Holy Week, the Last Supper, the betrayal in the Garden of Gethsemane, Good Friday and the Resurrection when I’m older. Maybe next week.

I got a nice Easter card from Grammy and Grampy.

Grammy knows me. She knows that I like Mickey Mouse.

I like getting mail. I played with my new card for hours.

Grampy and Uncle Doug came over for dinner. I tried something called ham. It was pretty good. I think. After dinner the grownups played a game. It looked like fun but they wouldn’t give me any pieces.

I played with my own toys.

After game time they had some cake and stuff. Then my Grampy started making funny sounds. I couldn’t help myself, I got the giggles. My Grampy is so silly.

It’s been a busy week. I’ve been playing a new game with mommy and daddy. I call it the “Not Ready For Bed Time” game.

I’m just so curious. There are so many things to see and things to do.

I also like to eat.

Grampy says I wear it well.

And I like to play with my doggies.

Luke makes a nice pillow.

One thing that’s not fun is my teeth that are starting to come in. Mommy says I can get a little cranky. I’m sorry mommy. She came up with a great idea the other day. She decided we would have a beach day in the kitchen.

I forgot all about my teeth. At least for a little while.

That’s about it for this week. Grampy is coming over tomorrow because mommy and daddy have to go to their work. We’re going to play with toys, go for a walk and watch the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Yay! I hope you have fun too.

“Raising Grampy” is the world through the eyes of Liam who is 6-months old. Liam lives in Virginia Beach with his mommy and daddy. Pete is there as Grampnanny.
