Chapter 43
Hi everyone! It’s me, Liam, and boy am I tired! It’s a lot of work doing what I do.
First, like the title of this series says, I’m trying to raise Grampy. You see, I’m trying to get him to remember how to raise a baby —- well I’m actually not a baby anymore. I guess I’m a toddler? Toddler-in-training? Whatever. You’d think since he had four children he would have retained some of it. Eh….not so much! It’s enough to tire me right out!
We spend a lot of our day playing.
Grampy says he has a bunch of Hot Wheels cars back at his house that I can play with when I visit. Did you know they had cars back when he was a kid?
Too big to fit in my truck
Grampy says I’m getting too big to fit in my dump truck but I just think he’s jealous because he can’t fit.
We have very busy days and then at night I FaceTime with Grammy or my uncles and aunts.
I like to show them around when we FaceTime.
Sometimes I do put the phone in the dump truck. I can drive better with two hands. I don’t know why there’s no sound on this one. Mommy thinks I hit a button by mistake. I put Grampy’s phone on airplane mode one day. He couldn’t figure out why he wasn’t hearing from anybody. Whoops!
A night out
I forgot to tell you that when Grammy was here we went out for dinner.
We went to this place called Super Ninja where this guy….
Cooked all the food right in front of us.
I held on to mommy real tight.
Back at home the other night it was Mac and Cheese night!
It’s funny how Mac and Cheese night is always the same night as Bath Night.
Raising Grampy is a lot of Work for Liam
So yeah, that’s some of what we do. Grampy was all excited and laughing the other morning when “Donald Grump” was on an old episode of Sesame Street.
I don’t get it.
Anyway, I just keep on trying with the big guy.
Last night I tried showing him some videos. He’s making progress. I guess I’ll keep him.
“Raising Grampy” is a look at the world through the eyes of 1-year old Liam. Liam lives in Virginia Beach with his mommy and daddy. Pete is visiting and playing the role of Grampnanny.
