Hi everyone! It’s Liam, just hanging out with Grampy.
It’s been another busy week for us. We have so much fun! I think that’s why he sleeps late on weekends.
On Monday Grampy decided we would have fun by baking his famous chocolate chip banana bread. Well he SAID it was famous. I’ve never had it. And guess what? I STILL haven’t had it.
Grampy wouldn’t let me crack the eggs but I was in charge of the spoon. I showed him where all the baking stuff was and where my mommy kept the chocolate chips.
I guess we did okay. Mommy liked it. Grampy liked it. And I think the whole thing was gone in two days.
I got a placemat this week for my high chair.
When Grampy posted something a few weeks ago that my Auntie Marla was afraid I would forget her while she’s deployed on that big boat (as if THAT could ever happen), one of Grampy’s friends suggested that we get this placemat made by a company called Shutterfly. My Auntie Marla’s picture is on there and my relatives in California. Grampy is on it too (as if I could ever forget the big guy). Every night my mommy points to a face and reminds me of what their name is. Grampy keeps saying there’ll be a quiz on Friday. I’m just glad I don’t know what a quiz is. Or what a Friday is for that matter.
Grampy and I continue with our adventures. He says I always make changing time fun.
What can I say? I get excited!
This past Saturday I took Grampy to Starbucks. I got this cool cup wrapper… for free!
Grampy will only go to Starbucks if mommy comes with us. He says he JUST WANTS A CUP OF COFFEE and doesn’t know what to order! None of this Triple, Venti, Half Sweet, Non-Fat, Caramel Macchiato. My mommy knows the lingo so Grampy wasn’t too grumpy.
After that, mommy and Grampy went for something called a “Pedicure.” Grampy told me that real men get pedicures, or at least he does because he can’t reach his toes.
I was afraid the man was going to cut my mom’s toes off! I kept an eye on him because he might have ruined her Flip Flop collection if I wasn’t there.
There was so much to see as ladies (Yup! Grampy and I were the only guys), were getting their feet rubbed and their fingers and toes painted. I haven’t learned why they do that yet. I don’t know why but Grampy didn’t get any paint on his. Maybe they ran out of his favorite color.
So that’s a look at some of the stuff we did this week. That man certainly keeps me busy!
“Raising Grampy” is the world through the eyes of 4-month-old Liam. Liam lives in Virginia Beach with his mommy and daddy. Pete is there for a bit as Grampnanny.
