All I can say is, ” What.The.Heck?” (I’m not allowed to swear.)
Hi guys! It’s me, Oscar the Beagle.
We’re getting ready for Christmas. The house is all decorated.
Yeah this guy is at the foot of my bed. Nothing like a little nightmare inspiration huh?
The front room has been loaded with stuff.
All these boxes and Grammy won’t let me chew up a single one.
Oh and that delivery guy. We’ve had that big brown truck, the truck that says “Fed Ex,” the new one with a smiley face on it and the regular mail truck. We’re used to that guy but lately he brought all his friends. Baxter and I are exhausted protecting this family.
Grammy put the tree up last night. Guess where it goes? Right where my bed belongs! I feel like I’m giving up my room for the holidays!
The thing I was referring to at the beginning was what Uncle Matt did this year. He thought it would be “cute” if Baxter and I wore Christmas sweaters. No. I’m not kidding.
Do I look like someone who would want to wear ANY sweater? Never mind a Christmas sweater.
I thought I had outgrown this stuff. When the kids were smaller and they were putting up the tree, Grampy would always say, “Let’s decorate the dog!” He usually put some jingle bells on me or a bow. Funny. Yeah.
There’s a reason we don’t wear sweaters. The same reason we don’t wear pants. I’M A DOG!
I am glad that Grampy is coming home this weekend. Don’t tell the big guy but I missed him. Of course I don’t know where he’s going to sleep now because I took his spot. It’s been real comfortable for me and Baxter. I would let him have my bed but there’s a tree there now.
Oh well.
Woof Wednesday is the world through the eyes of 11-year old Oscar the Beagle. Oscar lives in Fairhaven with Pete, Priscilla, Uncle Matt and his best buddy Baxter the Golden Retriever.
