Raising Grampy – The Holidays!

Hi guys! It’s me, Liam, and I KNOW! It’s been awhile! Mommy asked me the other day why I hadn’t posted in a long time and I said, “Hey! I can only work with what I got!” Grampy was hogging the tablet.

Mommy looked it up and I haven’t been able to write since October! That’s like a year ago, right?

So the last time I wrote I told you all about my Aunty Kat’s wedding. That was so much fun! Then the fun continued.

We went out and got some pumpkins! Then we went out on the porch to carve them. Mommy was in charge of the knife and I scooped out the guts!

We played outside a lot before the weather got cold. Grampy was helping me with my baseball practice.

After that we had Halloween! I love Halloween! There’s just so much candy! Of course my biggest problem is keeping Grampy out of the candy bowl.

My mommy made our costumes. She does this every year and she’s really good at it.

I was R2D2 and mommy was C3- somebody.

A few days after that we got on a big plane with Grammy and went to see my other grandparents.

They are my Abuelito and Abuelita (mommy spelled that for me) but I call them Babalito and Lita.

They live in a place called California. We had so much fun! We went to Disneyland and a really big zoo in some place called San Diego.

I helped mommy with the map so she wouldn’t get lost.

When we got back it was time for Christmas fun!

We went Christmas shopping and mommy and I got matching hats!

I hope Santa knows how I’ve been a big helper. I helped Grammy put up the tree and helped Grampy with his Christmas cards.

There was even a time that I helped Grammy bake Christmas cookies!

Of course, they’re all gone now. I’ll give you three guesses as to who ate them. Here’s a clue: It starts with “Gram” and ends with “py!”

We’ve been doing a lot of fun stuff. Mommy and I made a gingerbread house.

And every night we watch a Christmas show. Mommy introduced me to the Charlie Brown Show.

I really like Noopy!

I was a little worried that Santa wouldn’t know where we’re living and he might forget me but mommy tells me she sent him an email and everything will be alright. My Elf on the Shelf, Jimithy, found me here at Grammy and Grampy’s house so I think I’ll be okay.

Merry Christmas everybody! I’ll tell Grampy not to wait so long next time before I write again.

Raising Grampy” is a look at the world through the eyes of 3-year-old Liam. Liam and his mommy are living in Fairhaven with Pete and Priscilla while his daddy is deployed on the USS George H.W. Bush.

Did Grampy eat ALL of the p-nut butter blossoms?! I don’t know if you know this but my youngest son lives in the San Diego area and he loves it there! I know that Santa knows where all the good boys are on Christmas Eve, so don’t worry I’m sure you are on the top of Santa’s list.
    Merry Christmas Liam!!
