Raising ”Bitty?”

Hi everyone! It’s me, Liam, and I feel like I haven’t talked to you in a forever!

I just had a great visit with Grammy and Grampy, even though I prefer to call them Bitty and Betty. More on that in a couple of minutes. (Bitty tells me that’s a tease. Hee hee!)

I think the last time I talked to you it was around the holidays. Did I tell you that I got to go on Daddy’s boat for Thanksgiving?

My daddy is in the Navy like Uncle Doug and Auntie Marla. He goes out on the boat a lot with 5,000 of his friends. I don’t really like it when daddy goes out on the boat but I love it when he comes back!

That was fun!

Guess what else happened? We got snow here! We don’t usually have much snow but we had a storm that brought 6 inches! I don’t know if that’s a lot or not but I had fun!

Mommy showed me how to make a snowman and then Grammy and Grampy brought me my own shovel so I can help daddy.

They also bought me a sled!

I was so happy to see them. I went running and said, ”Bitty! Betty! I missed you!”

I’ve learned a lot of words since I last talked to you. Wait a minute… how did I talk to you before? Whatever. I’ve been saying “mommy and daddy” for years now but I’m learning new stuff. Bitty has been trying to get me to say ”Grampy” since he was living here but I prefer “Bitty and Betty,” and since I’m the baby, I win. Right? Right.

This week we played my favorite new game Hungry Hungry Hippos.

Then my second favorite game — Lucky Ducks.

I win every time! I guess I’m pretty good at this.

Then Betty and I built a tower. It was so high… until it wasn’t.

We went shopping for some stuff.

Bitty and Betty like books. I do too! I had to show him where the good ones were. Did you know Bitty’s books have no pictures?

Then I took Betty around to look at stuff at another store. It’s a lot of work being their tour guide. I make them hold my hand so they don’t get lost.

Mommy finally took our Christmas tree down. She had been waiting for Betty and me to take a picture that we forgot to do when they were here for Thanksgiving. I guess she wants to take this picture every year.

That’s this year on the right. Yeah. Wasn’t really into it that day. And where did my pants go?

We had a lot of fun last week. We went to a game room….

We had dinner with Uncle Doug and Auntie Marla…

They make the best garlic bread!

Bitty and Betty, had to go home at the end of the week. I get sad when they leave but they said they’ll be back. We FaceTime every day too.

This was the time Bitty said he was thirsty and wanted some of my juice.

It was nice to catch up with you. I’m busy every day now with preschool and learning stuff. I’ll write again when I can. Buh bye!

Yes, Liam: Bitty & Betty it shall be. Not every kid is as lucky as you to have those two extra special people in their family, so you must call them x-tra special names. Some day you may have younger siblings (ask Mommy & Daddy about that) and lots of cousins who will all call them by their special names that you gave them! How cool is that!
