Hi everyone! It’s me, Liam, doing lots and lots of things with Grampy.
We had “Matching Shirt Day” again. It was so much fun.
Mommy says my birthday is coming up soon! I don’t really know what a birthday is. I don’t think I’ve had one yet.
I know Grampy had a birthday so I guess it means you have a cake with a LOT of candles.
Last weekend my daddy had to be on duty at the big boat. That’s when he has to stand watch all day and all night, I guess they never let him sit down! He even works after his bed time! He has to make sure no one steals the aircraft carrier. On those nights mommy let’s me sleep in the big bed.
That’s my bunny. His name is Fred. Grampy gave me Fred. He’s been around all my life!
This weekend my mommy built me a blanket fort.
I tried to get Grampy to come in but he wouldn’t.
Mommy showed me a TV show that she used to watch when she was a girl. Did you know my mommy used to be a girl? I didn’t know that.
There’s a big yellow bird, some guy who lives in a trash can and Elmo. He’s my favorite.
Daddy came home after watching the boat. Good news: no one tried to steal it. He showed me one of his toys.
I don’t know what it is but it was pretty cool.
Grampy and I had marching band practice yesterday.
We are busy, busy, busy.
Aren’t I doing good with my walking? Grampy follows me around all day. I’ve noticed that he says the same thing every night, “I’m just gonna stretch out for a minute.” That’s usually the last time we see him that night.
Oh well! I can’t wait to see what Grampy and I do tomorrow. I am kind of excited because yesterday I found a box. That’s all I need for a good time. A good box!
“Raising Grampy” is a look at the world through the eyes of Liam who is 11-months old. Liam lives in Virginia Beach with his mommy and daddy. Pete is visiting and playing the role of Grampnanny.
