Does anyone know how I can install a doggie door?
Hi guys! It’s me, Oscar the Beagle.
Yeah I was wondering how to put in a doggie door because I figured I could help out Grampy. It seems every time he sits down, I want to go out. That’s when I usually hear him from the other room, “I JUST sat down!” I don’t see what the big deal is because I would just get right back up but I guess Grampy struggles with that.
I can’t help it, I LIKE to go outside. Unless it’s too hot. Or if it’s too cold. Or if it rains. Or snows. But other than that I like to go outside. I can walk all around our yard and even a little bit over to Cody and Emma’s house in the next yard. Grampy tells me not to poop there. I guess he likes it when I poop in our yard. I don’t know why but he seems to like that. Maybe he gets more points if I poop on our side of the line.
I like to go around and sniff stuff. We have some bunnies living under the porch I think. They smell good but they jump and run so fast we never get to play. Grammy has some nice flowers around the yard and they smell really nice. They make me sneeze sometimes but I have a nasal problem and just about everything makes me sneeze. Grammy is always coming at me with a tissue. I don’t like that. She says something like, “It would be so much better if you would just blow your nose.” I don’t think we can even do that if I wanted to.
So, yes, I like to go outside a lot and sometimes lay in the sunspot on the porch. I think Grampy is getting tired of always having to let me out, plus Grammy says it never fails: As soon as they sit down to dinner I want to go out. Well why not? They never give me any food so why should I just sit and watch them eat? Sometimes I do watch them. I stare. I give them my best, “I’m never fed” look. Hasn’t worked yet. Some day. Some day.
So what do I need to make a doggie door? A saw? A hammer? Some thumbs? Maybe I could ask Uncle Matt. Maybe I’ll go up to his room and scratch on the door. No thumbs. I can’t knock. Maybe I’ll show him the Home Depot flyer and open it to the doggie doors. Do they have doggie doors? I suppose I could look online when I finish this blog.
In case you’re wondering how I can type this blog with no thumbs —- you never thought about that did you —– that’s where the Beagle nose comes in handy. It just gets a little messy at times. Wish I could blow my nose. It would save the tablet washing every week.
Okay, so up to Uncle Matt’s room. Stay focused. Stay focused. One box of Cheez Its and I’ll forget why I even went there.
