Hi guys! It’s Oscar. I guess I should say, “Merry Christmas” right?
I still don’t know if I understand what this is all about but it’s kinda fun. I just don’t get a few things.
Yesterday grammie and grandpy bought their tree. I forgot that this is the time of year they put a tree IN the house and the lights go OUTSIDE. Hello? Not logical!
I am excited to see my stocking up. Again, it makes no sense to me. You hang up these stockings but all the other ones go in the dryer! It is fun though when they put some treats in my stocking; sometimes a new toy or one that squeaks!!!
Charlie Brown was on the other night. Yes, I know Charlie Brown. We especially like Snoopy. He’s the G.O.A.T.!!!!!
I’m so tired. It’s tough being a dog at this time of year. We have to bark at the mailman and the UPS driver and then there’s the FED EX guy. I think my humans did a lot of online shopping this year. Then the plumber came the other day. Whew! I’m exhausted!
Grammie and grandpy have been busy wrapping gifts. I like it when grammie wraps. She plays nice Christmas music and wraps the gifts in pretty paper with bows and ribbons. Grandpy, I think I’ve told you, is kind of a klutz. He wraps the present and has all kinds of extra paper that he folds or cuts. He curses a few times I think. Yeah, I don’t hear those words much.
And then…..just like he’s done EVERY year since I’ve lived here…..he puts a bow on my head and tells everyone, “Look at Oscar. He’s the Christmas Beagle!” Ha-ha-ha.” This guy needs a hobby.
I got caught the other day. Grandpy was still sleeping when I got down off the bed and went over in the corner to sniff the gifts. Just when I thought I had found the Milk Bones for the pups down south….he woke up.
“Hey! What are you doing there?”
“Noottttthhhhinnggggg.” Maybe next time.
Oh I forgot to tell you the best news of all……NO MORE DIET! Grammie said I was down to my target weight, (whatever that means) so I’m back to normal with my kibble.
I assume that means I’m cleared for Christmas cookies, pizza crusts and potato chips right?
