Hi everyone! It’s me, Liam, and I had another great week with my Grammy and Grampy in Texas!
First it was my birthday and I had some friends over for my party!
I had a Bluey birthday party and a sprinkle cake!
I got lotsa nice presents and my mommy and daddy bought me a truck! It’s blue just like Grammy’s little blue truck!
Grampy and I go for a ride every night after supper.
We had all kinds of fun this week. We all went for a ride to the beach. Mommy says it’s the Gulf of Mexico but I just call it the beach.
I took them to one of my favorite ice cream places. There’s a restaurant called Snoopy’s and right next door is the ice cream place Scoopy’s. It’s really good.
Daddy showed them where he works at the Navy place and then we went to explore the town. We went into a store called The Saddle Shop. Grampy met a new friend. I’ll call him Bob.
After that mommy said we had to get Grampy some Texas barbecue! I gotta admit, he looked pretty happy. I had Mac and cheese.
One day I showed Grammy and Grampy my library. First I had to feed my old books to the book monster before I got some new ones.
Grammy helped me practice for Tee Ball.
I was supposed to have my first game yesterday but it never happened because it rained. We were on our way to the field when it started to pour and mommy got a text from my coach. I was sad. Grampy was sad too because he was going to see my first game. He told me I have to call him after every game and tell him all about it. Don’t worry Grampy, I will!
I had so much fun with my Grammy and Grampy. I cooked dinner the other night.
Mommy helped a little.
We played so many games like Hungry Hungry Hippos….
…. and trains.
This is my playroom.
Most of the time I play and Grampy is on that little screen playing with me from his house but this week HE WAS RIGHT HERE!
Grammy and Grampy had to fly home today. Grampy was kinda sad when he left. I told Grammy to give the big guy a hug and I hope his puppy, Charlie, gives him a big kiss. “Don’t be sad Grampy. I’ll see you soon and I’ll call you after every baseball game.”
“Raising Grampy” is an occasional series looking at the world through the eyes of Pete’s grandson Liam. 4-year-old Liam lives in Corpus Christi, Texas with his mommy and daddy while daddy is stationed at Kingsville, TX with the U.S. Navy.
