Hi everyone! It’s me, Liam, and guess what? I came to visit Grammy and Grampy this week!
My mom brought me here from Texas for a vacation. Mommy needed a vacation from the south Texas heat. It’s already been 104 degrees and mommy says it’s not even summer yet.
This time we flew on a big airplane. Mommy says she made that drive from Massachusetts to Texas once and she has no desire to do that again.
We had so much fun this week! It was great to be back with the big guy watching “Paw Patrol.”
Grampy said he hasn’t seen a single episode since I left! I guess he forgot what channel it was on.
We went out for ice cream.
And then had more ice cream.
Grammy and I made cookies.
I would offer you some but Grampy ate them.
I went to see my Uncle Matt sing at the restaurant. Grampy and I wore matching shirts.
When he was done singing I helped my Uncle Matt pack up. Grampy said I’m the world’s youngest roadie. I don’t know what that means but I only understand about half of what my Grampy says.
That night we had a campfire at my Aunty Kat’s.
The marshmallows we toasted change color when you cook them!
We went out to eat a lot. We went to a place that had all kinds of fun stuff. Uncle Matt and I played badminton. I thought I was pretty good at it but he said it was bad Minton.
Grampy took me back to the library so I could get more books to read. It was fun to see my friend Atlas again.
We walked on the beach and went to the playground!
We also took a boat ride!
It was so much fun being back with Grammy, Grampy, Uncle Matt, Aunty Kat and Uncle Josh. I think Grampy got a little sad when I left the other day but I had to get back to Texas. My daddy couldn’t come because he had to work with all the new pilots in the Navy. He’s teaching them how to turn the airplanes on I think.
Grammy and Grampy say they’re going to come to Texas for my birthday. I can’t wait to show them around my new house. I have to show them my new room and my new school. There’s just so much new stuff!
For now it’s time to get back on the airplane. See you next time!
“Raising Grampy” is an occasional series looking at the world through they eyes of 3-year-old Liam. Liam now lives in Corpus Christi, TX with his mom and dad.
