Chapter 63
Hi everyone! It’s me, Liam, with another new thing in my life!
I started daycare!
I fired Grampy! No! I’m just joking. Mommy said we have to let Grampy go home soon. I thought this WAS his home but mommy reminded me that he lives in that house we visit with Grammy.
Grampy is still here for now while I get used to daycare.
I pack up my backpack with my bunny and a change of clothes and stuff every morning and then me and mommy head off. It’s like we’re both going to work.
We both have our coffee. Shhh! Mine is really juice. Grampy picks me up in the afternoon.
No pictures?
I’m sorry I don’t have any pictures of daycare to show you. Grampy says I need all the other kids to bring home a form so he can get a signed release granting him permission to use their photographic image and since I don’t know what any of that means —— I’m not gonna do it! Let’s just say I have fun with Miss Jamie and my new friends.
Duck, Duck, Goose!
I still have time to spend with Grampy. We go for a walk every afternoon.
The other day we saw a goose, up close! Don’t worry, Grampy was ready if the goose got too close. He had his baseball bat cane in hand. We see a lot of geese and ducks and baby geeses and ducks too.
Fun in the sandbox!
Mommy bought me a sandbox this week! It looks like a turtle it’s so cool! I play in it all the time.
Fun on the bed!
I also have a game I like to play in my crib or on Grampy’s bed. Grampy calls it “Trampoline.”
It’s so much fun but no matter how much I ask, Grampy won’t try it.
Guess what? Remember that color thingy that I saw at Target?
It’s still there!
I think mommy should buy it for my room. Hello? Mommy?
Spring has sprung!
We’re having some nice weather here in Virginia Beach. Grampy says it’s “Spring.” He filled up my water table the other day. I like to play in my water table. It’s even handy to clean my other toys. My lawn mower bubble blower needed a good cleaning the other day.
Another first for Liam!
So that’s about it for this week. I’m just busy with daycare and still finding time for Grampy.
Oh, one thing I learned this week: When you find the switch on the dust buster thing, it can really mess up your hair!
“Raising Grampy” is a look at the world through the eyes of Liam, who is 1 year old. Liam lives in Virginia Beach with his mommy and daddy. Pete is visiting and playing the role of Grampnanny.”
