Hi everyone! It’s me, Liam, just hanging out with Grampy.
Well! What a week it’s been! I told you we had Grampy’s birthday….then it was my mommy’s birthday….. then we went allllllllll the way to Grammy’s house for a big party for my Aunty Kat! She’s like Super Smart now because she finished a college thing or something.
We got started early in the morning.
I didn’t know WHAT was going on! I’ve been to Grammy’s house before but we always traveled during my sleep time. It felt like we got there in 20 minutes. This time Mommy said no more of that. It took more than 20 minutes. I slept for awhile when we got started.
After about three hours we made a stop. I got a chance to stretch my legs.
I offered to drive for a bit but mommy said she had it all under control. I was ready though.
Instead we just ate.
Then it was back on the road. Yay… I’m. So. Excited.
Grampy sat in the back with me and we played with toys. He even let me hold the iPad thing so I could watch Mickey Mouse.
Don’t tell anyone but I think he likes Mickey too. Other than that……
I think I slept through a few states.
After what seemed like forever….. we got to Grammy’s house! I soon remembered that her house is much like mine.
Where there’s a dog bowl…. I will find it! AND….. her cabinets aren’t broken like my house. They don’t open anymore at my house.
I liked looking at the flowers and the ocean out Grammy’s window.
We went swimming in her wicked big pool!
The next day was my Aunty Kat’s party.
I don’t know to spell anything yet so I just played with the balloons. I played with my new bucket too that I got from Grammy.
Plus I had to keep an eye on Grampy.
Do you like our matching shirts? Grammy bought me the outfit and then my Mommy found a matching shirt for the big guy. Mom told him to pack tan shorts and don’t ask questions.
The next day we got back in the car AGAIN! My mommy had to get back for work. I guess people wouldn’t be able to get any money from the bank if she wasn’t there. She has all the money. So…..
Away we go! Once again we stopped a few times so I could get out of my car seat and stretch.
I had a chance to get a few things straight with that baby in the mirror.
Grampy and I watched some more Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Shows, we had some snacks and listened to music. I only got upset during the last hour. Grampy told me that’s when he gets fed up with this trip too but Grammy doesn’t let him cry and fuss.
I learned a few things on this trip:
- My Grammy lives a lllooonnngggg way away.
- Never push the power button on the iPad DURING your show.
- The ocean is bigger than Uncle Dougie’s pool.
- My Aunty Kat is officially smart. She always was but now it’s official.
- Its not easy to kiss your mom when she’s wearing a mask at a rest stop.
“Raising Grampy” is a look at the world through the eyes of Liam who is 9-months-old. Liam lives in Virginia Beach with his mommy and daddy. Pete is visiting and playing the role of Grampnanny.
