Hi guys! It’s me, Oscar the Beagle.
We’re back to this again and I guess it’s gonna stay that way for awhile. By “this” I mean Grampy playing daycare down in that Virginia place. It was nice having him around for almost a week but then he went back.
Grammy takes care of us unless she’s doing that ambulance thing then we have Uncle Matt. He hasn’t been going to that college thing lately. I guess he graduated. Can’t believe I missed the cake.
Yeah so we’re back to not having Grampy around. Of course, no one asked me if I thought this was a good idea. Come to think of it, no one ever asks me for my ideas, and I got a million of em.
I think every house should have a “doggy door,” that way we could go in and out whenever and as often as we please. True we would need one the size of a garage door for Baxter but it would be feasible. ( Huh? Big word there. Pretty good for a Beagle with no formal schooling.) As for snow, wind, and ice — weather stripping. Lots and lots of weather stripping.
You know how I feel about kibble. There should be a dispenser that I can press with my paw and it will fill my bowl. I promise I will only fill it once at mealtime. No really! Come on! Do I look like a Beagle that would lie?
No more Veterinarians! Well…. they can work on cats I guess. Oh— but I was going to ban cats. At least keep them 30 feet away! Some of those guys are nasty!
All humans must put down their cellphones once they get home. That’s playtime and time to rub my belly.
A walk around the neighborhood should always end with ice cream….. and not just for you.
I get first dibs on bed space at night, then you may have what’s left.
The words “No dogs on the couch” will be forever banished.
And not only is it okay for us to bark at the letter carrier, but once a week we get to meet him/her because some of them carry treats.
There! That should be enough to get started. I do have more, lots more, but I think I’m late for a nap.
Woof Wednesday is the world through the eyes of 11-year old Oscar the Beagle. Oscar lives in Fairhaven with Pete, Priscilla and Uncle Matt and his best buddy Baxter the Golden Retriever.
