Raising Grampy – Chapter 4

Hi everyone. It’s Liam, just hanging out with Grampy.

What a week we’ve had! It started out on Monday. I think it was Monday. I really don’t know my days yet. I just know that when a day comes it’s “today” and I just get busy with that.

All I know is that we rescued mommy.

Mommy said she was having a “Monday.” She couldn’t find her keys so she ended up using the spare. Then when she got to work she realized she had forgotten her lunch. She texted Grampy and said, “How would you and Liam like to go for a ride?”

So we did.

I got to see where my mommy works and I met the people she works with at the bank.

They seem nice.

We didn’t get to play with any money though. I think that’s what Grampy was looking forward to.

Then we went out that night and bought my high chair!

I like it because now I can see what the big people are doing at the dinner table.

I also started eating something they call “cereal”.

I guess it’s okay. I’m just used to having milk from my bubba or my momma so this is weird. It’s fun to make a mess though.

And guess what? Then my Grammy came to see me!

I love my Grammy! She comes from that faraway place: Massachuchu… whatever. I think it’s up near the North Pole it’s that far away.

I have lots of fun with Grammy. She gets down on the floor and plays with me.

Grampy doesn’t do that because he says he could never get back up.

We went out for breakfast and I told Grammy what to have. It was fun!

I think Grampy liked seeing Grammy too. They were holding hands and doing that yucky stuff.

I made my first trip to Home Depot with my Uncle Doug.

Slept through the whole thing.

My Uncle Doug builds things. I think he uses Legos or something but he’s pretty good.

So Grammy AND Grampy took care of me for a few days. Grammy had to go back home on Saturday. She works on an ambulance you know and if she stayed down here, there would be no one to take care of the sick people. I think she has the only ambulance in the North East!

Grampy was sad after Grammy left so when he came over to watch that Super Game on Sunday I made sure to snuggle with him while we watched.

I didn’t see the end of the game because of my bedtime but I heard the red guys won. I like red.

I’ve had a great week! Of course, every week has been great since I was born. I don’t know what you people did before I got here but this has been fun so far. Except for getting shots when I go to the doctor. I look at mommy like, “WHAT THE HECK! YOU’RE JUST GOING TO LET THEM DO THAT??” I guess there are some things I don’t understand yet.
