I’m just saying, can’t a guy get some privacy?
Hi guys! It’s me, Oscar the Beagle.
Grammy has been standing outside at night watching me pee! Yeah! It’s embarrassing!
No there’s nothing wrong with my bladder, she says there have been coyote sightings in the neighborhood and she wants to make sure that doesn’t happen to me. Yeah, I’m short, I know. She’s afraid I could get carried off. I don’t know where I’d go, but I don’t think it’s good.
She only does it at night. Baxter stands at the door and watches me during the day. I just can’t get ANY privacy. And really…… is Baxter ACTUALLY going to STOP a coyote? He is big, but I can’t see him getting physical. He’ll probably just go up to Grammy and say, “You might want to check on the little guy. I’ll be taking a nap.”
I love Baxter like a brother but he’s driving me crazy lately. He INSISTS on going for a walk every day that Grammy is home, but, once we get out in the neighborhood, he realizes he’s getting old and his arthritis hurts and he walks SLLLLOOOOWWWWW. It’s not so bad on warm days but when the wind is blowing down by the water, and Grammy has her big, long coat on — and my ears are flopping in the wind —– it’s cold! But we gotta go! Every day!
Oh well, I just stay busy running the house while Grampy is away doing his nanny thing, or Grampnanny, or whatever they’re calling it. I try to keep Grammy company so she won’t miss the big guy too much. I steal as much bed space as I can and snuggle on the couch. I make sure I ask to go out a lot so that she won’t have any free time. She’d get lonely if I let her relax you know.
I’m just one busy Beagle whose work is never done.
