Woof Wednesday : The Suitcases Are Out

Hi guys! it’s me……Oscar the Beagle. This week the suitcases came out. That’s even worse than the vacuum cleaner. I mean the vacuum cleaner is loud but the suitcases mean Grammy or Grampy is going away. This week they both left.

Baxter and I notice it right away when the suit cases come down from the attic. Baxter actually pouts but I figure that’s a good time to look for food because maybe they won’t notice.

They said they’re going to see the southern kids and they won’t be gone long but as a dog we figure you’re never coming back and we’ll never get fed again.

I think I told you before how we made that trip with them and it took forever to get there. I was okay because I had pneumonia so I was wrapped up in a blanket on Grampy’s lap. Poor Baxter was stuck in the backseat surrounded by Christmas presents. He rolled over after about five hours and I think he squished a few.

Besides that, Sarah has two dogs that are younger than us. She has a Beagle puppy who’s kinda cute but HE NEVER STOPS! He just runs and jumps! Dude! Chill!

Baxter doesn’t really get along with them. Grammy thinks he is just trying to be the boss but I think he’s a grumpy old man.

Uncle Matt is taking care of us. I don’t think he’s too mad at me for eating his sneaker box anymore. What can I say….I thought there might be a cheeseburger in there, you never know.

We also have a neighbor who is putting in some new windows for us (with my help of course). I keep showing him where we keep the cookies but he hasn’t given me any….yet.

It is nice to have the whole bed to myself. We have a queen size mattress but Grampy seems to take up the whole thing with his legs. And once he starts to toss and turn I am in serious danger of getting airborn.

So I’m going to lay on the couch because Uncle Matt doesn’t have that “No dogs on the couch rule.” Plus we never listen to that anyway.

Grammy and Grampy will be home in a few days. Thank goodness they come home early. I usually bark, bay, and howl when they get here. I try not to wake people up but I’m just happy to see my Grammy and Grampy.
