Woof Wednesday: Oscar Wants An Investigation

Hi guys! It’s me…..Oscar the Beagle.

Grammy’s being mean. I’m serious. I need to call somebody. Maybe that Mueller guy has time now.

The other day Grampy was giving me and Baxter a Milkbone
when my piece fell down between the dryer and the wall. Yeah, I didn’t catch it. I told ya, I’m not too good at sports.

Anyway, Grampy said, “Can you get the yardstick or something and get this piece out for Oscar?”

She said, “No this could keep him occupied all afternoon!”

It was juuuuuuussssssstttttt out of reach! I tried and tried AND SHE JUST STOOD THERE AND WATCHED ME! I think she even giggled.

Eventually she got the milkbone out for me but I think that was just cruel.

I got revenge the next day when grampy left the cabinet door open about an inch or so. It was just enough so I could flip it open with my nose and stick my whole head in the cookie box. I got a few before grampy heard me. Ha ha!

Grampy looked at me the other day and said, “So Bagel! (One of my nicknames, remember?) He said, “So Bagel? What’s your goal today?”

I would laugh, if I could, because we never really have a goal besides eat, go outside when we need to, then sleep. I think humans stress about too much.

Think about it:

You start with “What should I wear”? Nope. Not a problem for us!

“What should I eat?” Just fill my bowl like usual.

You drive to work. I’m happy to walk around the neighborhood.

You do all kinds of stuff at that work place. I nap. Maybe bark at the mail man. Then I usually change my position all afternoon so I stay in the sun spot.

You rush to get home. I’m already here, though I am excited to see you.

You change your clothes. Nope. Same fur every day.

You do some stuff around the house. I probably go outside and sniff.

And then you watch TV. I sleep at your feet or try to steal your space on the couch.

That’s pretty much it for goal setting. Food, a walk, you coming home to me and some lovin’s.

I highly recommend my stress-free K9 lifestyle, though I think it’s stress-free because of my humans.
