Woof Wednesday and Oscar’s Cold

Hi guys! It’s me Oscar, just wondering why they turned off the warm.

Grandpa says it’s going to get warm again but I was out yesterday with grandma and Baxter and let me tell you….someone definitely turned it off. I wish I knew where the button was.

Baxter and I go for a walk everyday with grandma. I like to go around the neighborhood and see if there’s any new sniffs. We don’t go when grandpy is by himself. He thinks Baxter would pull him over and he’s probably right. Then I would laugh and he’d get mad so we just don’t do it.

Yesterday Baxter was getting all excited to go on a walk. I should have known something was up because grandma kept putting it off and then finally put on this big, puffy coat that covers up her whole body. Then she put on a hat and mittens. I don’t see how she can sniff anything all bundled up like that. These humans should just get fur. Very low maintenance.

She took us outside and there was this ice stuff all over. We walked down the street and then turned towards the beach. O.M.G! (That’s what the cool kids say right?) Somebody turned off all of the warm! It was incredibly cold! The wind was blowing the cold in my face. Grammy said something about the wind chill factor but I don’t know what that is. I know the Oscar Chill Factor was freaking out!

I started to pull on the leash! Usually just Baxter pulls but I wanted to show him that I could too. I scampered all the way home. You can save your walk for another day!

When we got home I climbed up on grandpa’s lap and stayed there. He’s good for snuggling….and he’s warm.

This comes just about every year and usually around the time they bring the tree in the house. I still don’t understand that part. The tree starts to shed it’s needles and they just use that vacuum cleaner thing to clean up. Of course if Baxter and I start to shed its a whole big issue. I never see them yell at the tree.

I get sad when we’re out for a walk on a cold day and I hear another dog bark in the neighborhood. I hope he’s not stuck outside all day. Everybody should have a nice warm lap like my grandpy to stay warm.

I guess I should wish you guys a Merry Christmas! Grandpy said the big day will be here soon. I guess the Fed Ex guy and the UPS man won’t be coming by so much. I’ve been busy keeping this family safe.

Grammy made all kinds of cookies the other day. Baxter and I didn’t get any but we get to lick the beaters each time. We get them all nice and clean so I don’t think she ever has to wash them.

I hope you have a nice holiday and I hope you get some treats! Maybe a new squeaky toy! I’m sure grandpy will put a bow on my head again Christmas morning and take my picture. It seems to be a tradition. Oh well, I guess I’ll humor the old guy again. He doesnt know how lucky he is to have me.
