Thanksgiving Was Nice! What’s Next? “Raising Grampy”

Hello peoples! It’s me, Carson. Did you have a nice Thanksgiving? I did. Now that I know what a Thanksgiving is.

All that food and all they gave me was a napkin. Oh well.

My week started with mommy taking me to work. I think I told you that she is an Athletic Trainer at a high school. She trains the athletics.

Well last week she had to go watch some boys run around and hit each other. They had a ball that everyone was trying to get, but one group of boys wouldn’t share it and they were trying to get to the end of the field near the poles that reach into the sky. That’s how you play football, right?

It was just a practice so my mommy said I could go.

Do you like my bear suit? Grammy bought it for me. Grampy wants one too but I don’t think they come in his size.

On Thanksgiving mommy put me in my “First Thanksgiving Outfit.”

I thought Grampy would be in his “64th Thanksgiving Outfit” but I guess they don’t make those.

If you look real close you can see my two teethies that came in. I guess I need them but I can tell you that was not fun.

I chew on cold things now. It helps.

Now I guess we get ready for something called “Christmas!”

Mommy and daddy put a tree thing in my room. I like the lights.

I still spend a few days with Grammy and Grampy and my Gigi.

Charlie doesn’t like to be left out so he helps Grammy and Grampy.

The other day I was helping Grampy with his Christmas cards.

I was also checking out the latest catalogs.

Grammy gets a bunch of these every day. Grampy got excited the other day because he said now he could order his cheese ball. I guess he wants to play catch with Charlie.

I can’t wait to see what this Christmas thing is all about.

I guess there are special songs. I heard one this week that worries me. I don’t want my Grammy to get run over by a reindeer! That would be horrible!

Uncle Hunter was practicing the other day.

I can’t wait to see what else this Christmas thing brings. Grampy said he’ll eat all my Christmas cookies until the rest of my teeth come in. My Grampy…what a guy!

Until then I’m just hanging out with my favorite peoples!

“Raising Grampy” is a look at the world through the eyes of Pete’s grandson Carson. Carson is five months old and lives in Acushnet with his mommy, daddy and puppy dog Kenzie.
