Chapter 46
Hi everyone! It’s me, Liam, and do you know what I’ve discovered about Christmas? There’s all kinds of STUFF! There’s stuff everywhere!
Aren’t you supposed to PLAY with a ball?
It’s been a busy week with the Amazon guy bringing us so—many—boxes! I was just looking at one when Grampy caught me.
There’s so much to play with
One of those boxes was Grammy’s Christmas present from Grampy. He said I can’t tell you what it is because she might see this, but I’m wicked excited to tell you about what was in the box besides the gift.
This stuff was AWESOME!!! Who needs a present?
I had it all over the house and we had fun until Grampy stepped on one and scared the dogs.
I bet Grammy is wondering what her present could be with all that packing stuff. “I-know-something-you-don’t-know!” HeHe!
So we have all kinds of decorations and mommy was wrapping presents this weekend. She kept losing the tape. Silly mommy. Grampy was writing out Christmas cards and there was lots of Christmas music playing. Grampy says we have a lot of Christmas movies to watch and he seems really excited. I guess I’ll humor the guy and watch a few. He usually falls asleep anyway and I play with his phone.
The Elf on the Shelf
Jimithy keeps moving every day. Mommy and I go looking for him every morning. Sunday he was on my chair at the table.
Sunday we had bagels. Mommy says I have to be a good little eater or Jimithy will tell Santa. Does that mean I have to eat veggies too? Stupid veggies.
Turning colder
The weather is getting colder here in Virginia Beach. Grampy says it’s still warmer than the house he has with Grammy. Grammy sent me some new mittens to match my coat.
I hate ‘em! I can’t find my fingers! Grampy!
Then they put my new hat on.
It squeezes my head! Grampy says we can’t go out on cold days if I don’t wear my hat and mittens. Is it summer soon? Tomorrow? The next day?
Practice, practice, practice
Besides that I’m just playing and exploring stuff every day. I still practice my music.
And the other day Grampy came up to me and said, “Are we supposed to be playing in the dog’s water?”
Well, yes Grampy! It’s so much fun!
Mommy says we’re taking family Christmas pictures next week. I wonder what THAT will be like?
“Raising Grampy” is a look at the world through the eyes of Liam who is 1-year old. (14 months) Liam lives in Virginia Beach with his mommy and daddy. Grampy is there playing the role of Grampnanny.
