Hi everyone! It’s me, Liam, just hanging out with Grampy.
Big news at the house this week, or as Grampy calls it, “The International House of Liam!” He truly is an odd man…. but we love the guy.
I said “Mumma” this week! And what’s even better —- she heard it! I said “mama” about two weeks ago but only daddy was home. Then I said it again but it was only for Grampy. I finally said it to mommy the other day and she went CRAZY! They keep trying to get me to say it again, and for the longest time I didn’t even know what I did, but it’s confusing. I’m trying to learn all these words and then the dog barks and I don’t know if I’m supposed to know that. There’s a lot of pressure here.
The other thing we did this week was rearrange my toys.
It was actually started after Grampy said he thought I was a bit overwhelmed with my big toy box downstairs. He thought I was having trouble deciding what to play with when they were all there all day.
Now, mommy has me go to the shelves every morning and pick out 3 or 4 toys that I play with that day. Plus….
It’s like I get to shop at Target every morning with mommy! I miss Target. Mommy use to take me there at least once a week.
The only other place I go to is still my Uncle Dougie’s house because of some virus thing. I made sure Grampy’s supplies were all set the other day.
I took out every single plastic bag because I know Grampy would want them all checked.
I just hope someday that he looks back on this and realizes the things I’ve tried to teach him. He seems to have a good handle on things. I just hope he takes the time to appreciate everything. When he has other grandbabies to watch they can rest assured that I taught him well.
I start every day making sure he’s hydrated.
Then Roscoe and I keep an eye out for mommy.
Well at least I do. I think Roscoe looks for bunnies.
Oh and guess what? ANOTHER big thing this week…..
I think I joined the Navy! Either that or I just tried on daddy’s hat. I wonder if I can drive the boat now?
Well that’s about all for this week. Phew! We’ve been busy!
I am glad to say that when I’m done playing with my Grampy and daddy it’s nice to snuggle with my mommy for storytime and cribby.
Do you like my Spiderman jammies?
“Raising Grampy” is the world through the eyes of Liam who is 8-months-old. Liam lives in Virginia Beach with his mommy and daddy. Pete is there as Grampnanny.
