Hi guys! It’s me, Oscar the Beagle.
I had to go to the stupid Vet again! I know, I should be nice and Grammy says he’s a nice man but I just don’t like the poking and the SHOTS! I guess it was time for my annual checkup. I would have been fine if we just skipped over it this year but Grammy insisted.
THEY SHAVED MY BUTT! SERIOUSLY! Well not really my butt but it is my back down near my tail. I’m a little embarrased here and the answer is NO! I’m not sharing pictures!
I guess it’s a side effect of the medicine I take to help with my breathing. You can have your fur fall out and I guess something was bothering my skin so they cleaned it all up. I wish they could have done this in July. It’s a little breezy and cold this time of year. I guess I have a choice: Lose some fur or give up breathing. Hmmmm.
So Grammy took me and Baxter to the doctor. Two seniors getting a checkup and their meds updated. I think she’s going to sell Grampy’s stuff to help pay for it.
Oh Baxter is fine. He’s just getting old, like me. No one SHAVED his butt though.
Speaking of Grampy, I’m getting excited because the big guy is coming home!
Grampy is coming back from Virginia where he’s been taking care of Baby Liam. He’s coming home for a few days and Uncle Matt is going there with Aunty Kat during their spring break.
It will be nice to see the guy and I hope he cooks again while he’s home. Grammy doesn’t drop nearly as much.
I suppose he’s going to want the couch back and probably some bed space. Baxter and I have been very comfortable. Maybe he’ll sleep downstairs.
I wonder if he remembers the routine around here? He might not. If he doesn’t, I can make up a new plan. Yeah.
“We have to eat every two hours. We’re getting old ya know.” Yeah I like this. “Just leave the food cabinet open and we’ll take care of it. Yeah, we want to make it easier on you.”
“We also need a plate of whatever you’re eating. Yeah, something about the vitamins or whatever a ‘nutrient’ is.” Haha! I like this!
“I need Brownies once a week!”
Oh this is good! I gotta go and write down some more new “rules.” I’ll let you know how it goes.
Woof Wednesday is the world through the eyes of 11-year old Oscar the Beagle. Oscar lives in Fairhaven with Pete, Priscilla and Uncle Matt and his best buddy Baxter the Golden Retriever.
