Guys! Guys! It’s me again, Oscar the beagle. Grandpa left his tablet on the couch again.
You won’t believe what’s going on here! The other day there was this “thing” on the floor and I got all excited. Hey, whatever’s on the floor is mine, right? Well, mine and Baxter’s but he’s too slow.
All of a sudden grandma is holding me back because it was something called a “cricket” and she said it was bad luck for me to eat it. WHAT? It’s on the floor so it’s mine right?
I need a lawyer.
She trapped it in a paper cup and let it go outside. I gotta sniff it out when they let me out.
I gotta give thanks to all the people who read my blog last week. I should’ve stole his tablet years ago I kinda like this.
So it’s been an interesting week here at the house. I do have a question though that maybe you can help me with:
What’s going on with that box that shows pictures in the living room?
Last Sunday (I think it was Sunday, I don’t really have a planner) all the humans were staring at the box watching something that featured a ball. Yes, I know a ball when I see one.
There were nine Boston guys and nine Houston guys and my humans were doing a lot of yelling everytime one of the guys threw the ball.
It didn’t make much sense to me as one guy threw the ball to another guy while a third guy tried to hit it with a stick! I don’t think they know how to play fetch too well. You’re supposed to throw the stick or throw the ball for me to go get it.
Also, why were my humans getting so upset? They must have interrupted my nap at least a dozen times.
And don’t they know I like to go to bed around 10 p.m.? Usually we go upstairs around 10, I snuggle next to grandpa’s feet while he reads and then the light goes off and we sleep. Sunday night he stayed up way past ten and kept changing the picture in the box between the game with the ball and the sticks and another game with these big scary guys trying to throw another ball.
They were yelling at the box, but I don’t think any of those guys could hear them because they didn’t seem to answer back.
My humans seemed really frustrated at times and nervous but they were all happy when it ended. I guess the right people ended up with the ball at the end and maybe they got to take it home and put it in the toy basket. Or maybe they got to chew on those sticks.
There’s nothing like chewing on a good stick. There’s a lot of sticks in the yard now if you find them under all these leaves. We had a storm the other night, I think it’s called a storm. That’s when I get rained on when I go out to pee. I don’t understand why my people don’t have to outside to pee. It doesn’t seem fair. Maybe they never have to go.
Yeah there’s all kinds of great smells this time of year. Grandpa gets mad when he lets me out for this thing he calls “last call.” Hey I’m busy. I have to try and sniff the whole yard in the dark before bed.
Well I better get going. Now that I’ve had breakfast I need to beg for food until supper. My work is never done.
